Car Sale Warranty Example Legal Question? Any Lawyers Input..?

Legal Question? Any Lawyers input..? - car sale warranty example

I have a question. Suppose you are a distributor and retailer of a product and has a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. They say that the manufacturer of the product files Chapter 11 then closed the plant altogether. What can people do? Is the service reliable shop or anything, because it sells the product, but the manufacturer is not the whole service?

I'll give an example: Suppose you are an independent distributor of cars and sales of new cars Chevrolet Chevrolet and was responsible for all warranty work on the vehicle. Then Chevorlet files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, then two months later, has closed its doors. What can the client? If the independent distributor to be, at all reliable?

The dealer is required by law, honor, "the manufacturers warranty" 's. We have seen that when 3rd party "security" policies of companies selling auto insurance for buyers of vehicles to dealers. Have closed 3 of them. The dealer sells the policy, but not obligated to honor the warranty ..
